The troweling disc of a power trowel is primarily used for the following purposes:
- Adding slurry During concrete placement, the trowel plate, by rotating and moving, lifts the paste from within the concrete upward, forming a uniform paste film on the surface. This film fills surface pores and depressions, enhancing the smoothness and compactness of the concrete surface and laying the groundwork for subsequent floating and polishing operations.
- Smooth out : The screed can perform preliminary leveling of the concrete surface, smoothing out any unevenness to bring the floor up to basic flatness requirements. It enables rapid coverage of large concrete areas, boosting construction efficiency and reducing manual labor intensity.
- Compaction During rotation and movement, the screed applies a certain amount of pressure to the concrete surface, thereby compacting the concrete. Compaction densifies the concrete particles, enhancing its strength and durability while reducing surface shrinkage cracks and sanding.
