Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission issued an investment of 9.3 billion billion yuan in the central budget to support the construction of a number of key projects for urban domestic sewage and garbage treatment, resource conservation and recycling, and environmental pollution control. In addition, the construction of urban sewage and garbage treatment facilities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the tailings pond pollution control project received 3.58 billion yuan, and the comprehensive treatment of agricultural non-point source pollution in the central and western provinces of the Yangtze River Economic Belt received 1.1 billion yuan. So far, since July, environmental governance projects have received 13.98 billion yuan of investment from the central budget, which is expected to leverage more social capital investment.

Increasing investment in environmental governance is a requirement to speed up the outstanding shortcomings of the ecological environment. Taking urban sewage and garbage treatment, one of the above investment priorities, as an example, although positive progress has been made in this area in recent years, the direct discharge environment of domestic sewage and garbage is still a hot issue of concern to the people. In some places, sewage and garbage are directly put into rainwater pipes and rainwater grates on the side of the road. The rainwater pipeline was originally used for flood discharge, but it turned out to be a place for dumping garbage, resulting in pollution "zero storage and lump sum". After a heavy rain, the rivers and lakes turned black and smelly. To solve these problems, there is an urgent need to systematically improve the efficiency of urban domestic sewage collection, and speed up the completion of the shortcomings of facilities such as urban villages, old urban areas and urban-rural junctions. In addition, the regional imbalance is also more prominent. The level of urban sewage and garbage treatment in the central and western regions is lower than that in the eastern region. It is faced with many problems such as shortage of construction and operation and maintenance funds, and imperfect charging mechanism. It is inseparable from the support of real money.

Increasing investment in environmental governance is the need of people's livelihood. To increase investment in environmental treatment projects with multiple benefits, we should fully mobilize the financial and financial funds arranged at the two sessions of the National People's Congress this year, use good steel on the blade, pry more social funds, and drive more pollution control projects, so as to increase the orders of relevant enterprises, improve the operating rate of enterprises, and promote the full recovery of employment and residents' income.
