Main structure and working principle

The general milling machine is composed of engine, frame, milling rotor, milling depth adjustment device, hydraulic components, aggregate conveying device, steering system and braking system.

The milling rotor is the main working part of the milling machine. It is composed of the milling rotor shaft, the cutter seat and the cutter head. It directly contacts with the road and achieves the purpose of milling through its high-speed rotating milling cutter. The milling machine is equipped with an automatic leveling device, which uses the side cover of the milling rotor as the milling reference surface and controls two positioning hydraulic cylinders to keep the given milling depth constant;

Its hydraulic system is used to drive the milling rotor to rotate, the whole machine to walk, auxiliary device work, etc. It is generally a closed hydraulic system with multiple pumps independent of each other, which does not interfere with each other and has high reliability when working.

Some milling machines are equipped with inclination adjusters as required to control the inclination of the rotor. Generally, large milling machines have an aggregate conveying device composed of a conveyor belt and a collector, which can concentrate and transfer the milled bulk material to a random walking vehicle. The height of the conveying arm can be adjusted and can swing left and right to adjust the unloading position.
