1. The trowel machine emits black smoke during operation.
Check the trowel machine to ensure it’s not over-oiled—if there’s excess oil, drain some off. Alternatively, severely worn or damaged pistons can also cause oil burning, so replace them promptly if they’re faulty. Next, inspect the engine: if no mechanical issues are found, the problem might be excessive oil contamination. Remember, oil quality is crucial—always opt for high-grade机油, and when purchasing, take care to avoid counterfeit or low-quality products.
2. How to adjust the leveling screws on the screed machine chassis
First, replace the four new blades and place the trowel machine on a perfectly level surface. Next, remove the fork and visually check whether the four screws are at the same height. If possible, use a ruler to measure—adjust any uneven screws until they’re all aligned. Once done, gently wiggle the pressure cap; if there’s no movement, it means the adjustment was successful. Finally, apply a small amount of grease to the tops of the screws to prevent wear and tear.
3. The screed machine keeps stalling.
Check whether the oil level is normal and if the机油 is too low. Some machines come equipped with their own机油 protection systems, which will automatically shut off the engine when the oil level drops too low. Alternatively, after disconnecting the remote engine-shutdown switch from the machine’s main shutdown switch one by one, if the engine no longer stalls after each disconnection, it indicates that there’s a ground fault in that particular circuit. Simply perform a thorough inspection to identify and eliminate the issue.
4. The screed machine's engine is running normally, but it can't drive the screed plate effectively.
If the engine is fine, it’s likely due to the wrong belt model or a belt that’s too long. If the issue persists, simply replacing the clutch should do the trick—this is usually easy to handle.
5. The gasoline trowel was soaked in water.
First, clean the carburetor, then remove the spark plugs to check if water has entered the cylinder head. If water is present, crank the engine several times to expel the water completely. After changing the机油, try starting the engine again to see if everything is working properly.
6. The trowel machine won’t turn.
Reasons: The blade may be deformed; the motor bearing is damaged; the motor bracket is not securely fixed; or there’s an issue with usage.
