With faint green hills and gurgling streams, Xiajiang Village, located in the west of Zhejiang Province, is a famous local "net red village", with many titles such as national civilized villages and towns, beautiful leisure villages in China, and national rural governance demonstration villages.
On November 9, 2017, the villagers of Xiajiang Village welcomed a special gift-General Secretary Xi Jinping sent an autographed first day cover of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China to the cadres and masses of Xiajiang Village. This is a concern from the General Secretary. Xiajiang Village, as the grassroots contact point of General Secretary Xi Jinping when he was working in Zhejiang, under his personal guidance, realized the counterattack road from "poor mountain village" to "green, rich and beautiful.
As early as April 2003, Comrade Xi Jinping, then Secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, went to Xiajiang Village to investigate and pointed out the crux of the problem that hindered Xiajiang Village from embarking on the road to prosperity: "Not achieving high-quality, efficient and misplaced development".
Since then, the cadres and the masses of Xiajiang Village have adapted measures to local conditions, vigorously developed characteristic agriculture, opened farmhouses, developed eco-tourism and sightseeing agriculture, etc., and the local economy has achieved earth-shaking changes and has become a well-known leader in rural revitalization. In 2017, the per capita disposable income of the resident population in Xiajiang Village reached 27045 yuan, 12.56 times that of 2154 yuan in 2001.
The rich first drives the rich later, and goes to the road of "common prosperity". Xiajiang Village works hard on "sharing. In 2019, the "Daxiajiang" Rural Revitalization Consortium composed of Xiajiang Village and more than 20 surrounding villages was formally established to promote common prosperity through platform co-construction, resource sharing, industry co-prosperity, brand co-shaping, and intensive development elements.
With Xiajiang Village as the general entrance, the villages have not only solved the problem of small villages and few projects through group development, but also formed an integrated development chain of production, processing and sales through the division of labor and cooperation among the villages. In 2021, the per capita income of "Da Xia Jiang" villagers increased by more than 10% year-on-year.
From "xiajiang" to "big xiajiang", from "one village rich" to "village rich", xiajiang village is writing a great article on rural revitalization of "rich first, help later, and regional common prosperity.
