Flooring Machinery If the project follows the complete construction process, mechanical equipment will be required during the application of the mortar and putty layers. The primary machine used is a floor grinder, which serves to level the applied mortar and putty layers, ensuring smooth surfaces for subsequent construction steps.
A surface grinder is a large machine capable of precision grinding various surfaces, including high-accuracy flat surfaces, the inner and outer cylindrical surfaces, conical surfaces, spherical surfaces, threaded surfaces, and more. It comes in three main types: disc-type grinders, spindle-type grinders, and specialized grinders.

Disc-type grinders can be further divided into two types: single-disc and double-disc, with the double-disc grinder being the most commonly used. It has a wide range of applications, making it suitable for all the surfaces mentioned earlier.

The rotary-axis grinder primarily relies on the rotation of its spindle to drive the workpiece, making it ideal for grinding cylindrical objects—both internally and externally. Among specialized grinders, the variety is most extensive, including non-center-hole grinders, steel ball grinders, and gear grinders, all designed specifically for cylindrical surfaces.

Grinding technology is now also common in the flooring industry, thanks to its high machining precision and versatility in material handling. However, it does come with certain limitations—namely, higher costs and relatively lower operational efficiency. Still, with the ongoing advancement of China's economic development, grinding technology has seen significant improvements in terms of cost-effectiveness.
The grinder is highly versatile, as it can be systematically controlled to adjust the grinding speed precisely to suit various materials. The gentle lowering function installed on the upper platen effectively prevents thinner workpieces from cracking or breaking during operation. Additionally, the machine allows for semi-automatic operation—simply switch it to pressure mode before starting, and it will automatically stop and sound an alarm once the preset grinding time or rotational speed is reached.
